The theme “Noches de Ibiza” will be part of the OST of the short film “Cartas de Amor a un Torero” (Love letters to a Bullfighter).

The Alicante Film Director Reyes Caballero, has selected the theme Noches de Ibiza, in its solo guitar version, as the main theme of the Original Soundtrack of her new short film Cartas de Amor a un Torero (7 minute contest version), which will be presented shortly to a festival.

The song was composed by Ron inspired by more than 30 years of memorable summers in Ibiza (in its sung version it is called “Una noche Balear”), during a stay in Cala Llonga. Many people consider this work as one of Ron’s best.

Its structure reminiscent of “Anonymous Romance”, with tremolos in a ternary rhythm (actually a 9/8 measure), begins in A minor and subsequently modulates to major, returning to minor to end the song, lasting more than 5 minutes.

The director’s intention is to combine it with other Ron’s music for the 15-minute long version of this Short film, and more in the long term, perhaps a feature film based on this short and others by the same filmmaker.
